- 作品解説: 左手前に白い帽子に赤いリボンをつけた女性がクローズアップされ、右手にはゴンドラとそれを漕ぐ船頭が数組描かれ、その奥にヴェニスの古い建物が広がっている。空と水はいずれも白とエメラルドグリーンが画面で混色され、右上にはカモメが飛んでいる。ヴェニスの賑やかな様子が表されているが、永遠に続く歴史の途上の刹那をとらえた、儚さも同時に感じさせる。Description: A woman wearing a white hat and red ribbon is in close-up in the left foreground, a gondola and a couple of boatmen rowing it are on the right, and old Venetian buildings are in the background.
