- 作品解説: 不老不死の仙人が住む、中国の東の海上にあるとされる蓬莱は、日本でも正月に飾る縁起物の中で最も人気のあるイメージであった。朝陽と鶴の群れ、咲き誇る梅に常緑の松。岩のかたちに工夫を凝らし、大胆かつ繊細に筆が進められている。Description of Artwork: Horai, the supposed home of immortal immortals and located on the eastern seas of China, was the most popular image for New Year's decorations in Japan as a good luck charm. Morning sun and a flock of cranes, blooming plum trees and evergreen pine trees. The brushwork is bold and delicate, with ingenious use of rock formations.
