- 作品解説: 画面の真ん中に花びんを据え、そこから広がるように薔薇の花が活けてある。薔薇の左右の密度やバランスを見ると、やや左のほうが高いように見えるが、それは、茶色のテーブルの角を右側に見せるためにバランスを取っており、全体に左斜めに傾いているところなどを含め、構図に細心の注意を払いながら描いていることがわかる。Description: A vase is placed in the center of the painting, and roses are arranged to spread out from the vase. The density and balance of the roses on the left and right sides of the vase make it appear that the left side is slightly higher than the right side, but this is because the artist balanced the corner of the brown table to show the right side, and the overall slant to the left shows that the artist paid close attention to the composition of the painting.
