- 父の葬儀の費用のために我が身を売った董永。その妻となり、絹を織って借財を償った美女、すなわち天女が天上へ飛去る場面です。<br/><BR/>天女を仰ぎ見る中央四人のうち、右端の人物は『東西海陸紀行』の「ブラジル人」を原図とし、銅版画風の線描が見える洋上の船についても、同書の地図に見える船が原拠とみられます。天女は、ライレッセ『大画法書』の「扉絵」との関連が指摘されています。<BR/><br/><br/>【江戸の絵画】Dong Yong sold his own body to pay for his father's funeral. In this scene, Dong Yong becomes the wife of a beautiful woman who atones for her debts by weaving silk, in other words, a celestial maiden, and flies off into the heavens. <BR/><BR/>Of the four figures in the center looking up at the celestial maiden, the one on the far right is based on the "Brazilians" in "East-West Sea-Land Travels," and the ship at sea, with its copperplate-style line drawings, is probably based on the ship shown on the map in that book. The nymphs have been pointed out to be related to the "door picture" in Lilesse's "Great Book of Drawings". <BR/><BR/><BR/><BR/>[Edo Paintings
