あなたがたの考え（善悪）は紙に書かれる。この紙きれを火にくべよう。紙が燃えたらその考えこそ過ちとなる。紙は炉に投げ込まれ、しばらく火の中にあったが、やがて焼けも焦げもせずふわり、ふわりと飛びだしていく。楽園に神が生ぜしめた（花も葉もめだたぬ）善悪を知る一本の木。その木から（禁じられた果実と同じく）紙きれも作られたのである。／天使は翼があるから鳥という。顔かたちは玉のように清らか、声のさまも女のよう。心を寄せても返事は文ばかり、耳に入るは羽音だけ。／野には（この世界では見えぬ）育ちも摘まれもしない無数の種子が眠る。言葉は種子である。あなたの見る水は、いつのまにか漲り涸れる河のように水蒸気が作るのではない。地の底から、泉のように想起されるのである。
