- 作品解説: 渦巻き状の空に歪んだ教会。色彩は大きく異なるもののゴッホの《星月夜》のうねりが、わずかにイメージされていたのかもしれない。村上の育った日本とは歴史や景観のことなる異国の地・パリでの薄暗い時間帯。棺が安置されている教会の雰囲気は独特で、何がしかのオーラのようなものを感じ取って視覚化されているものと思われる。Description: A distorted church in a spiral sky. Although the colors are very different, the undulations of Van Gogh's "Starry Moonlit Night" may have been slightly inspired by this work. It was dimly lit in Paris, a foreign land with a different history and landscape from the Japan where Murakami grew up. The atmosphere of the church where the coffin is enshrined is unique, and it is thought that some kind of aura is sensed and visualized.
