- 作品解説: 本郷新にその才能を発見され、2年ほどの期間に約300点を制作するという充実した時期の作品。どんよりとした空におどろおどろしい樹々の表情で、それは建物にも波及している。現実を超えた不気味さはダリをはじめとするシュルレアリスムの絵画にも通じるところがあり、時代の暗さも反映しているのかもしれない。Description: A work from a productive period in his life, when his talent was discovered by Arata Hongo and he produced about 300 works in a period of about two years. The work depicts the expression of frightening trees against a dreary sky, which spills over into the buildings. The eeriness that transcends reality has something in common with surrealist paintings by Dali and others, and may also reflect the darkness of the times.
