- 作品解説: 焼けるような地面と吸い込まれそうな青い空。題名から推測すると左上の黄色い塊は月なのだろうが、その波打つようなマチエールは何を象徴するのであろうか。オレンジ色の地面についても、熱帯夜のような重ぐるしさを感じるが不明である。人や動物らしき存在も黒いシルエットで確認される。自然と街と人とが一体となって混じり合い、喧騒を作り出しているようで、そこを村上は掬い取って画面に定着させているのだろう。Description: Burning ground and an absorbing blue sky. From the title, the yellow mass in the upper left corner may be the moon, but what does its rippling matiere symbolize? The orange ground also gives the impression of a heavy tropical night, but I am not sure what it symbolizes. The black silhouettes of human and animal-like figures are also visible. It seems that nature, the city, and people are blending together to create a bustling atmosphere, which Murakami seems to have captured and fixed on the screen.
