- 作品解説: 建物が近くに迫り、画面のほとんどを占拠している。狭くなった空は黄色く、建物の黒さと対峙し、危険な感覚を呼び起こす。建物が黒いのは全体が日陰になっているからなのか、それが盛り上がった絵の具だけではない重厚感を生んでいる。ただし、黒の中にも赤やオレンジなどが散りばめられ、銀座の華やかさやセンスの高さを上手くあらわしている。Description: A building looms nearby, occupying most of the screen. The narrowing sky is yellow, confronting the blackness of the buildings and evoking a sense of danger. Perhaps the building is black because it is entirely shaded, and this creates a sense of heaviness that is not due to the raised paint alone. However, even within the black, there are splashes of red and orange, which well express the glamor and good taste of Ginza.
