- 作品解説: リュクサンブール公園であろうか。手前の大きな木々越しに広場が開けている。ワニスの分布に斑があり、一度描いて全体にニスを塗布したのち、手前の木々などを描き加えたようである。おとなしい画面に飽きたらず生命感あふれる木々を後で追加した可能性がある。Description: This is probably the Luxembourg Park. The square opens out through the large trees in the foreground. The distribution of the varnish is uneven, suggesting that the artist painted once, applied varnish to the entire painting, and then added the trees in the foreground. It is possible that the artist was not satisfied with the docile painting and added the life-like trees later.
