- 作品解説: 白水の滝は群馬県や宮崎県などにも存在するが、本作品に見られる滝のスケールから、岐阜県白川村の滝なのかもしれない。長興山荘での制作なので、想像して描いたのか、あるいはスケッチを元にした可能性がある。紅葉の朱色は濃淡をつけて表現の単調さを回避している。Description: Hakusui waterfalls exist in Gunma and Miyazaki prefectures, but the scale of the waterfall seen in this work suggests that it may be from Shirakawa Village, Gifu Prefecture. Since the work was created at Choko Sanso, it is possible that the artist either imagined the waterfall or based it on a sketch. The vermilion color of the autumn leaves is shaded to avoid monotony in expression.
