- 作品解説: 《雪中山水図》（1_8）と同じ年の初秋に描かれた本作は、繻子織で光沢のある絹の上に描かれている。岩山のかたちや雁の群れなど、構図にも共通点が見受けられる。垂直に伸びる木々は、前年宮内庁買い上げとなった《寒林幽居図》と姿が類似しており、翠雲は何がしかの手ごたえをこの描法に感じていたのではないだろうか。Description: Painted in early autumn of the same year as "Landscape in Snow" (1_8), this work is on satin-woven, lustrous silk. The rocky mountain formations and flocks of geese share similarities in composition. The vertical trees are similar to the ones in "Cold Forest Residence," which was purchased by the Imperial Household Agency the previous year, and Suiun may have felt some satisfaction from this style of painting.
