- 作品解説: 年譜によると1963年の4月から8月にかけてパリに遊学し、1964年にはニューヨークへ旅行、そして1965年にはイタリア旅行をしていることから、本作を描いた時期は毎年のように海外に取材していたようである。第一幕が終わったところであろうか、華やかな舞台の明かりがカーテンへと反射しており、はっきりとそれぞれのモチーフがわからないだけに想像力がわき、その場の雰囲気が伝わってくる。Description: According to the artist's chronology, he studied in Paris from April to August 1963, traveled to New York in 1964, and then to Italy in 1965, suggesting that he traveled abroad every year when he painted this work. The lights of the gorgeous stage are reflected on the curtains at the end of the first act, and since the motifs are not clearly identified, the viewer's imagination is stimulated and the atmosphere of the scene is conveyed.
