- 作品解説: 空や池は明るめの水色を下に塗ってから、少し濃いめの水色を上に塗っている。全体の調子を合わせるための修正であろうが、明るい水色が所々残されていてそれが深みを与えている。下り坂の向こうに不忍池が広がる、暗いところから明るいところへと続く景色が見事に表現されている。池の向こうの建物が画面の中心にあるのも構図を計算してのことであろう。Description: The sky and pond were painted with a lighter light blue on the bottom and then a slightly darker light blue on top. This may have been done to adjust the overall tone of the work, but the light blue color is still present in some places, which adds depth to the work. The view of Shinobazuno Pond spreading out across the descent from dark to light is beautifully rendered. The building across the pond is placed in the center of the picture, which is also a result of the composition.
