【びいどろ・ぎやまん・ガラス】","A glassware with leech attached, accompanied by a Hikifuda of Kagaya, a glass merchant in Edo during the Edo period. A leech-tsuke is a device used to suck out contaminated blood. It is used by placing the narrow mouth against the skin and dropping leeches from the thick mouth. At first, these leeches were wrapped in a crumpled hikifuda and stored in a box. The box is thought to have been newly made by the former owner (Izumiya Riemon of Yawata) when he purchased it. It is a valuable example that reveals the sales methods of the time.

[Biidoro, Giyaman, Glass
"文化庁「文化遺産データベース」より取得した収蔵品データ. 取得日2022-01-21.","Data extracted from Bunka Isan Dētabēsu (Cultural Heritage Database) by Agency for Cultural Affairs (Bunkachō).
