- 江戸時代、江戸でガラスを商っていた加賀屋の引札が付属した蛭付のガラス器。蛭付は、汚れた血を吸い出すための器具です。細い口を肌にあてて、太い口から蛭を落として使用します。この蛭付は当初、くしゃくしゃになった引札にくるまれて、箱の中に納められていたといいます。収納箱は、旧蔵者（八幡(やわた)・和泉屋利右衛門）が購入した際に、新しく作製されたものと考えられています。当時の販売方法がみえてくる貴重な作例です。<br/><br/>【びいどろ・ぎやまん・ガラス】A glassware with leech attached, accompanied by a Hikifuda of Kagaya, a glass merchant in Edo during the Edo period. A leech-tsuke is a device used to suck out contaminated blood. It is used by placing the narrow mouth against the skin and dropping leeches from the thick mouth. At first, these leeches were wrapped in a crumpled hikifuda and stored in a box. The box is thought to have been newly made by the former owner (Izumiya Riemon of Yawata) when he purchased it.
