- 作品解説: 高子沼は高子の儒者であった熊坂覇陵（くまさかはりょう）が高子沼周辺地で名勝地20か所を選び、自ら名前をつけ漢詩に残し、また画家・谷文晁に20の風景画を描かせた場所として知れている。柏亭は1930年から1942年までの毎秋福島県美術協会展の審査員として福島を訪れていた。本作は秋の景色なので、審査の次いでに高子沼は名勝地として聞きつけ自らの意志で赴いたのかもしれない。筆のタッチを滑らかにするために細かい織り目のキャンヴァスを使用し、青空が水面に映る景色を素直に表現している。Description: Takashinuma is known as the site where Kumasaka Haryo, a Confucian scholar of Takako, selected 20 scenic spots around Takashinuma, named them after himself and left them in Chinese poems, and had the painter Tani Buncho paint 20 landscape paintings. Kashiwatei visited Fukushima every autumn from 1930 to 1942 as a judge for the Fukushima Prefecture Art Association Exhibition. Since this painting is of an autumn scene, it is possible that Kashiwatei heard that Takagonuma was a scenic spot and went there of his own volition while judging the exhibition. The artist used finely textured canvas to smooth out the brushstrokes, and the blue sky reflected on the surface of the water is expressed in a straightforward manner.
