- 作品解説: 信州での厳しい冬を過ごした柏亭にとって、春は一段とうれしい季節であったに違いない。盆地の傾斜地に咲き誇る桜の木々を手前に鮮やかな畑の緑、そして遠方はまさしく春霞となってうっすらと白色を帯びている。空はわずかに赤みを帯びているが、柏亭らしく奇をてらわない穏健な色彩で日本の風土を捉えている。西洋の遠近法と東洋山水画の遠近法が融合した表現も見逃せない魅力となっている。Description: After the harsh winter in Shinshu, spring must have been an even happier time for Kashiwa-tei. The cherry trees blooming on the slope of the basin, the vivid green of the fields in the foreground, and a slight spring haze of white in the distance. The sky is slightly reddish, but Kashiwa-Tei captures the Japanese climate with a muted, unobtrusive color palette. The fusion of Western perspective with the perspective of Oriental landscape painting is also an attraction not to be missed.
