- 作品解説: 右下に「Kanazawa」との記録があるが神奈川県の金沢であろう。ざらざらとした紙の質感を利用して、太くて濃いめの鉛筆で掠らせるように建物などのかたちをえがき、比較的筆数を抑えた単純でくっきりとした色が施されている。画面の中央にあるのは鉄橋で、そこには人や車の姿が見え、その上方の煙突からは煙が棚引いている。何気ないスケッチ風の水彩画であるが、大まかなところと細かいところのメリハリなどをしっかりと計算して描いている。Description: "Kanazawa" is recorded in the lower right corner of this work, which probably refers to Kanazawa in Kanagawa Prefecture. Using the rough texture of the paper, the artist used a thick, dark pencil to draw the shapes of buildings and other objects, and applied simple, clear colors with relatively few strokes. In the center of the picture is a railway bridge, on which people and cars can be seen, and above it, smoke is trailing down from a chimney. The painting is a watercolor in the style of a casual sketch, but the artist has carefully calculated the balance between the general and detailed parts of the picture.
