- 作品解説: スケッチブックからの一枚だと思われる。制作時期と場所が記述された貴重な水彩作品のひとつ。茨城県鹿島の農園を訪れ、鉛筆で軽やかなデッサンを行ったのち、水彩絵具で要所要所を色付けしている。特に、手前の畑や果樹の低木には、白色の絵具が点々と置かれ、そのいくつかの上に緑や青を重ねている。白色絵具の角度や上に重ねた絵具の位置など、いかに安井が絵画上のリズムを大切にしていたのかがわかる。Description: Believed to be a piece from a sketchbook. This is one of the rare watercolor works in which the time and place of creation are described. The artist visited a farm in Kashima, Ibaraki Prefecture, made light pencil sketches, and then colored in key areas with watercolors. In particular, the field and fruit tree shrubs in the foreground are dotted with white paint, overlaid with green and blue on top of some of the white paint. The angles of the white paint and the position of the overlaid paint show how much Yasui valued rhythm in his paintings.
