- 器胎の周囲に二重格子に八角籠目文の切子を施した平鉢。縁は蓮弁状になっています。水溶き金剛砂を用いて、棒状工具を往復研磨して施した手彫り切子によるものです。そのため、切子は、凹状の高台部底面には施されておらず、縁のみにとどまっています。しかし、凹面には縦横に擦れ痕がみられ、丁寧な研磨処理を確認できます。<br/><BR/>収納箱の蓋裏には、「大槻」なる人物が、文久３年（1862）に長州候より本器を拝領した旨が記されています。幕末期、長州藩で殖産興業として萩の地で製作された萩ガラスの可能性が示唆されます。<BR/><br/><br/>【びいどろ・ぎやまん・ガラス】This flat bowl is decorated with a double latticework of faceted octagonal baskets around the vessel body. The rim has a lotus petal shape. The faceting was done by hand with water-soluble Kongo sand, using a stick-shaped tool for back-and-forth grinding. Therefore, faceting is not applied to the concave base of the bowl, but only to the rim. However, the concave surface shows evidence of careful polishing, with rubbing marks in all directions. <BR/><BR/>On the back of the lid of the box, there is an inscription stating that a person named "Otsuki" received this vessel from the Choshu clan in 1862. This suggests the possibility that this is Hagi glass produced in Hagi as part of the Choshu clan's efforts to promote industry and industry during the final years of the Edo period. <BR/><BR/><BR/>[Biidoro, Giyaman, Glass
