- 作品解説: サン=ラザール駅の西約1kmに位置するモンソー公園は、クロード・モネが取材した場所としても知られている。村上作品としては珍しく、青や緑を主とした明るい色彩で覆われている。描かれている対象は抽象化されているが夜の公園に夢のような感覚を持ったであろうこと、さらにはモネの作品がイメージのどこかに存在していた可能性があろう。Description: Located about 1 km west of Saint-Lazare Station, Parc Monceau is well known as the location where Claude Monet covered the area. Unusually for a Murakami work, the painting is covered in bright colors, mainly blue and green. Although the subject depicted in the painting is abstracted, it is possible that the artist would have had a dreamlike feeling for the park at night, and furthermore, Monet's work may have existed somewhere in the image.
