- 作品解説: 波涛に鶴を描いた絵を一品当朝といい、慶事に用いられる。中国の文官の位階の最上位である一品の服には鶴の模様があること、さらに朝廷の役人である朝官の「朝」は発音が「潮」に通じることから海辺の波涛に鶴を配して祝福の意を表すようになった。南画らしい大らかさを湛えた筆勢となっている。Description: A painting depicting cranes on a wave is called ichihin tōchō and is used for celebratory occasions. The crane pattern on the clothing of the first rank of Chinese civilian officials, and the pronunciation of the word "chao" for the imperial court official "chao guan" (朝官), which is the same as "tide," led to the arrangement of cranes on waves and tides at the seashore to express blessings. The brushwork is full of the grandeur typical of Nanga.
