- 作品解説: 真鶴の自宅付近からの眺めであろう。左側遠くに三浦半島が見える。高低差のある入り組んだ地形の向こうに相模湾が広がっている。桜の花が水平線の一部を遮って、構図を複雑にしているところがこの絵の見どころの一つとなっている。紙が焼けてしまって残念だが、描かれた当初は草木の緑色と地面の黄土色が、桜の花の色をしっかりと演出していたに違いない。Description: This is probably a view from near my house in Manazuru. The Miura Peninsula can be seen in the distance on the left. Sagami Bay stretches out beyond the intricate topography with its elevation differences. One of the highlights of this painting is that the cherry blossoms partially block the horizon line, complicating the composition. It is unfortunate that the paper is burnt out, but when it was first painted, the green color of the grass and trees and the ochre color of the ground must have provided a solid color for the cherry blossoms.
