- 作品解説: 三宅克己の作品裏面には、自筆による題名が付されていることが殆どであるが、色紙に描かれた本作には、そうした題名等の記載がない。「海辺の樹」という題名は前所蔵者が仮につけた可能性もあり、本作は湖畔ではないかとも思われる。樹々の幹や枝を逆光気味に比較的細かく明暗を捉えた描き方、水平に近い筆のタッチなど三宅の表現の特徴が随所に見て取れる。Description: Most of Katsumi Miyake's works are titled on the reverse side in his own handwriting, but this work on colored paper has no such title or other information. It is possible that the title "Trees by the Seashore" was given tentatively by the previous owner, and that this work may be a lakeside painting. Miyake's distinctive style of expression can be seen throughout the work, such as the relatively detailed backlighting of the tree trunks and branches, and the almost horizontal brushstrokes.
