- 作品解説: 東海道新幹線新富士駅から3キロほど東に向かったところにある鈴川海岸。三宅は海を描かず山側を向いて砂浜と松林を写生している。鉛筆による大まかなスケッチののちに彩色に取り掛かっているが、鉛筆の線も残しつつ作品の一部として生かしている。木造の漁船と漁師の親子であろうか、主なモチーフが地平線上に集まり、空と砂浜の取っ掛かりが少ない。構図としてはむずかしい部類に入ると思われるが、そこを敢えて三宅は挑戦したのだろう。Description: Suzukawa Beach is located about 3 km east of Shin-Fuji Station on the Tokaido Shinkansen Line. Miyake did not paint the ocean, but rather sketched the sandy beach and pine trees facing the mountains. He made a rough pencil sketch and then began coloring, but kept the pencil lines as part of the work. The main motifs of the wooden fishing boat and the fisherman and his son are gathered on the horizon, and there are few clues to the sky and the sandy beach.
