- 作品解説: 大型貨物船が所せましと停泊している。貨物船の周囲には小さな船舶も何隻か見える。これらのいくつかは造船所の船舶であろうか。山や木の緑に船舶の臙脂色や黒が映えているが、海の色を敢えてグレー系統にすることで爽やかさが一層増しているようだ。人工物と自然だけでなく人々の活気さえも感じさせ、戦後の長崎復興を象徴する絵画となっている。Description: A large cargo ship is anchored in various places. Several small vessels can be seen around the cargo ship. Some of them may be ships from a shipyard. The black and dark red of the ships stand out against the green of the mountains and trees, and the gray color of the sea adds to the freshness of the scene. This painting symbolizes the reconstruction of Nagasaki after the war, with its man-made objects and nature, as well as the liveliness of the people.
