- 作品解説: 「駘蕩」とはのびのびとした様子や春のうららかな様子を意味する。 木瓜（ボケ）の花に二匹のアシナガバチが描かれている。中国で蜂は 「封」と同音（feng）であることから、封ぜられること、つまりは高位につくことを示す吉祥図で、中国原産の木瓜（ボケ）は、どの花よりも早く春の香りを放つことから「先駆者」という寓意があり、本作は「誰よりも早く高位につく」という意味が込められているものと思われる。Description: The word "genial" means spontaneous and carefree, as in the springtime. The two bees are depicted amongst the blossoms of a jokerya flower. The bees are depicted on the blossoms of a jukerya, which is native to China and releases its spring fragrance earlier than any other flower, giving it the allegorical meaning of "pioneer. It is thought that this work is meant to represent the meaning of "attaining a higher position before anyone else.
