- 作品解説: 制作年の記録はないが、満谷の表現様式の変遷から推測すると、明治末から大正期にかけての作品だろうか。四隅に穴があるので、戸外で写生されたのであろう。比較的目の細かいキャンヴァスに柔らかい筆を使って滑らかに描かれている。空や富士の裾野部分など、一回の筆致で異なる色を同時に含ませて描く手法は非常に巧みで、画面全体に清涼感が漂っている。Description: There is no record of the date of production, but judging from the change in Mangoku's style of expression, this work must have been made between the end of the Meiji and Taisho periods. The holes in the four corners indicate that the work was probably painted outdoors. The work is painted smoothly with a soft brush on relatively fine-grained canvas. The technique of painting the sky and the base of Mt. Fuji with different colors in a single stroke is extremely skillful, and the entire picture is filled with a sense of coolness.
