- 作品解説: 三宅は真鶴に居を得てから近隣を多く描いていたが、本作もその一点。山の斜面に咲く満開の桜と春霞の空、そして遠くにひろがる海の特徴をそれぞれ表しながら全体の統一感を出すことは当然だが、作品のメリハリをどこにつけるかという点で三宅は海を比較的平坦で濃いめに表現したのではないかと思われる。地形と同じく着彩する筆のタッチに変化をつけ、躍動感を生み出している。Description: Miyake has painted many neighborhoods since settling in Manazuru, and this work is one of them. It is only natural that Miyake would try to create a sense of unity by depicting the cherry blossoms in full bloom on the mountainside, the sky in a spring haze, and the sea stretching out in the distance, but Miyake may have chosen to depict the sea in a relatively flat and dark manner in order to give the work a sense of liveliness. As with the landforms, the touch of the brush used to apply the colors varied, creating a sense of dynamism.
