Bust of Queen Yuniko Hatohiko of Asakomiya. Queen Yashiko wore the most sophisticated, cutting-edge fashions of Paris and had a strong interest in fashion. A long necklace (sotoir) with a string of pearls of uniform size was popular because it looked good with the simple dresses that were popular in the early 1920s, and was also worn by Princess Yashiko.
