- 作品解説: 「群仙拱寿」といえば、水仙が群生する絵柄が多い。不老不死の仙人たちが群がり集うという語呂合わせに由来している。翠雲の本図は常緑の松や蘭に、勢いよく伸びる竹、おそらくつがいであろう綬帯鳥、松の根元には永遠に朽ちないと言われる太湖石が配されめでたい素材で埋めつくされている。鳥には濃彩を施しながらも松などは比較的淡彩であり、調和を保ちながらメリハリがある。Artwork description: "Gunden Gongjun" is often associated with a group of daffodils. The name "Immortal Immortals Gathering in Clusters" is derived from the Chinese saying that immortal immortals gather in clusters. In this painting by Suiun, evergreen pines and orchids are surrounded by vigorously growing bamboo, a pair of birds with ribbons, and at the base of the pines, a taiko-shi stone, which is said to be eternally undecaying. While the birds are painted in dark colors, the pines and other trees are in relatively light colors, creating harmony and a sense of fullness.
