- 作品解説: 多摩川の支流を取材した作であることから、大正 15 年以前に描かれたものと思われる。本作はとりわけ黄色の絵具を下層に使用することで、全体の調子を統一するとともに、明るさと彩度を高めている。川には部分的に水色が塗られているが、黄色と混ざり合って緑色にならずに済んでいるのは、三宅が計画的に絵を組み立てている証であろう。Description: This work was probably painted before 1926, as it covers a tributary of the Tama River. This work uses yellow paint, especially in the lower layers, to unify the overall tone and to increase brightness and saturation. The river is partially painted in light blue, but the fact that it is mixed with the yellow and does not turn green is evidence of Miyake's systematic construction of the painting.
