- 作品解説: なだらかな山と土坡、そして右側には欅であろうか、数本の背の高い樹々が描かれている。鉛筆で軽くスケッチをしたのち、柔らかい筆で丁寧に筆を進めている。そのため、自ずと暖かさを感じる、ルノワールのような世界が創出されているが、ルノワール以上にそれぞれの形に沿った忠実なタッチであるところが山下の独自性といえよう。Description: The painting depicts a gently sloping mountain, a dirt path, and several tall trees, probably zelkova, on the right side. After lightly sketching with a pencil, Renoir carefully brushed with a soft brush. This naturally creates a warm, Renoir-like world, but Yamashita's uniqueness lies in the fact that his touch is more faithful to each form than Renoir's.
