洋画家、自由美術家協会々員長谷川三郎は、3月11日サンフランシスコに於いて上顎癌のため客死した。51歳。明治39年9月6日山口県に生れた。甲南高等学校を経て東京帝国大学文学部美学美術史科に学び、昭和4年卒業した。この間、大阪信濃橋洋画研究所に入り、小出楢重に師事した。昭和4年から同7年にわたつてアメリカ、イギリス、フランス、イタリア、スペインに遊学した。滞仏中、昭和5年サロン・ドオトンヌに入選した...
