「椿貞雄」『日本美術年鑑』昭和33年版(174頁)国画会々員椿貞雄は、12月29日千葉大学附属病院でホドキン氏病のため逝去した。享年61歳。自宅船橋市。明治29年2月10日米沢市に生れた。大正2年上京、正則中学校に転入したが、岸田劉生の個展に感動し、同3年劉生に師事した。大正4年草土社の結成に参加、更に巽画会、院展洋画部、二科会或は初期春陽会に出品する等、つねに岸田劉生と行動を共にし、作品も岸田の影響を最もつよくうけた。また、白樺同人武者小路実篤...
