During the period from April 2025 to March 2026, the following additions and updates were made to the Dictionary of Artists in Japan.
Number of new records added: 183 (Total: 5,438)
Artist biographies added: 16 in Japanese (total: 119); 6 in English (total: 91).
Number of reference records added: 281 exhibitions, 171 museum holdings, and 2,587 bibliographic records
Number of alternate names added: 225 artists (active in the fields of painting and crafts)
Authority Files added: 1,128 (ULAN: 663/Benezit: 113/VIAF: 352)
Other corrections and revisions: 62
