About this database
This resource provides basic information on galleries and art spaces that have played major roles in the development of art in Japan and have been important hubs for international networks.
As of February 2022, we have released information on a trial basis, starting with the galleries listed in the gallery section of Bijutsu techō zōkan bijutsu nenkan published between 1957 and 2006. We will gradually expand the range of galleries and update the information as necessary.
