About this database
This resource offers information on Japanese art exhibitions held at museums and other institutions in Japan and abroad. PDF versions of Contemporary Art Exhibitions in Japan (compiled by Nakajima Masatoshi) and Contemporary Japanese Art Exhibitions Held Overseas (compiled by Kiyoko Mitsuyama-Wdowiak) were released in March 2021. These two items were compiled into a database and made available to the public in February 2022.
