軍服姿の男性騎馬像。モデルは当時陸軍軍人であった朝香宮鳩彦王。作者の池田は、動物彫刻に優れ、特に馬を好んで取り上げた。明治天皇、昭和天皇の御料馬の制作を行うなど皇室とのゆかりが深かった。1933年(昭和8)には、北白川宮成久王や東久邇宮稔彦王、竹田宮恒徳王らの各御乗馬像を製作している。Statue of a male cavalryman in military uniform.
