- 茶色は町場、黄色は寺社、町場から三方に伸びる朱線は街道筋を表わします。画面中央の兵庫勤番所の西側に安政6年（1859）に幕府が設置する箱館産物会所が描かれていることから、本図の作成はそれ以降とみられます。ほかに明和6年（1769）から慶応3年（1867）頃に作成された同様の形式の絵図6点が知られています。これらの絵図の比較から、兵庫津では一八世紀半ばから19世紀半ばまでの約100年の間に海岸部、なかでも湊川河口付近を中心に市街地が急速に拡大していることが読み取れます。本図を含め、これらの絵図は近世後期の港湾都市兵庫津の発展過程を考える一つの指標として重要です。<br/><br/>【近世の神戸】【古地図】The brown lines represent town centers, the yellow lines are temples and shrines, and the vermilion lines extending in three directions from the town centers represent street lines. The Hakodate Products Exhibition Hall, which was established by the shogunate in 1859, is depicted to the west of the Hyogo Workers' Watchtower in the center of the screen, suggesting that this map was probably created sometime after that date. In addition, six other illustrations in a similar style created between 1769 and 1867 are known. Comparison of these maps shows that the urban area of Hyogo-zu rapidly expanded during the 100 years from the mid-18th century to the mid-19th century, especially around the mouth of the Minatogawa River. These illustrations, including this one, are important as an indicator of the development process of the port city of Hyogo-tsu in the late modern period. <br/><br/>[Kobe in the Early Modern Period] [Old Map
