- 大量生産・販売を目指して木版刷りをされたわが国最初の地球儀。竹ひごの骨格の上に木版印刷された世界図を張り合わせ、傘の原理を応用して膨らませた状態でみるものです。緯度30度から40度の日本が真上にくるように軸受けの傾斜は36度となっています。作者の沼尻墨僊は茨城県土浦の地理学者です。<br/><br/>【古地図】【江戸時代の洋学】This is Japan's first woodblock-printed globe designed for mass production and sale. The woodblock-printed world map is laminated onto a bamboo frame, and is viewed in an inflated state using the umbrella principle. The bearing is tilted at a 36-degree angle so that Japan, with a latitude of 30 to 40 degrees, is directly above the globe.
