- ベネディクトゥスが手がけた様々な動植物をモチーフとしたデザイン集《ヴァリアシオン》、《ヌーヴェルヴァリアシオン》、《ルレ》のうち、本作は2番目に刊行されたものに 当たる。ベネディクトゥスのデザインを、アール・デコ期に活躍した版画職人ジャン・ソデ（Jean Saudé）が、ポショワールの技法で制作した。大判図版20枚（図案75種）を紙製のポートフォリオに収めており、作品の状態はおおむね良好。 アール・デコらしい幾何学模様のパターンが色彩豊かに表現され、本館（旧朝香宮邸）内に施された様々な文様との共通点や類似性を確認することができる。 当館では1930年に刊行された《ルレ》（大判図版15枚、図案43種）も所有している。This is the second of Benedictus' "Variations," "Nouvelle Variation," and "Relais" collections of designs based on various flora and fauna motifs. Variations," "Nouvelle Variation," and "Relais," a collection of Benedictine designs featuring a variety of flora and fauna. This is the second of the three collections, Valiasion, Nouvelle Variation and Relais. Jean Saudé, a printmaker active during the Art Deco period, created the designs of Benedictus using the technique of the pochoir. The work is housed in a paper portfolio of 20 large-format prints (75 different designs) and is in generally good condition. The Art Deco-style geometric patterns are colorfully expressed, and we can see similarities and similarities with various patterns applied in the Honkan (former Asakamiya residence). The museum also owns "Relais," published in 1930 (15 large-format illustrations, 43 designs).
