- 『ハーパーズ バザー』誌は、1867年にニューヨークで誕生し、女性向けのファッション誌としては世界最古の歴史を持つ。同誌の表紙を飾ったのは、当代の人気イラストレーターや画家たちであり、特に1920年代から30年代にかけては、エルテやカッサンドルといった作家たちが、アール・デコの時代を印象付ける完成度の高いデザインを呈示した。Harper's Bazaar, founded in New York in 1867, is the oldest women's fashion magazine in the world. Popular illustrators and painters of the day graced the magazine's covers, especially in the 1920s and 1930s, when artists such as Erté and Cassandre presented highly finished designs that were a hallmark of the Art Deco era.
