- 作品解説: 眼の焦点を合わさずに風景をぼんやりと眺めたような景色の不正確さを感じる一方で、メリハリのある色彩と鋭利な絵具の塊のぶつかり合う表現は確実な手ごたえのようなものも感じることができる。この画家以外は場所が特定できない不確かなパリ郊外の風景であるが、湾曲した道やオレンジ色をした屋根の民家がそれらしい雰囲気を醸し出している。Description: While the view seems inaccurate, as if the artist were looking at the landscape with his eyes unfocused, the clash of the crisp colors and the sharp paint masses gives the viewer a sense of certainty. The curving streets and orange-roofed houses create an atmosphere that is typical of this uncertain suburban Parisian landscape, the location of which could not be identified except by the artist.
