- 作品解説: 5階か6階から見たパリの景色。屋根や煙突などを水平の位置から眺め、道路や窓は見下ろした、ダイナミックな構図となっている。空は夕日で赤くなり、薄暗くなりかけた建物は重厚感が増している。まさに村上の好んだ時刻であろう。左手前の建物など、暗くなっているところは完全な黒でなく、わずかに光や色彩を発している。暗さのなかで暗い光が震える村上作品の魅力が存分に発揮された一点といえる。Description: A view of Paris from the fifth or sixth floor. The roofs and chimneys are seen from a horizontal position, and the street and windows are looked down, creating a dynamic composition. The sky is reddish with the setting sun, and the buildings are becoming more massive as the sun begins to dim. This is exactly Murakami's favorite time of day. The darkened areas, such as the building in the left foreground, are not completely black, but emit slight light and color. This is one of Murakami's works that fully demonstrates the appeal of dark light quivering in the darkness.
