- 作品解説: 建物を斜めから大きく捉えている。オーニングテントのある店を数人が往来している。村上の作品では比較的珍しく引っかきによる描写が際立つ作品となっている。構図の取り方と言い、パリで客死した佐伯祐三を彷彿とさせる汚れた街の表現となっており、好みにも共通するところがあったのではないかと思われる。Description: A large oblique view of a building. Several people pass by a store with an awning tent. The scratched depiction is relatively rare in Murakami's work, and stands out prominently. In terms of composition, it is reminiscent of Yuzo Saeki, who died in Paris as a guest artist, and it is likely that Murakami shared some of the same tastes in depicting the dirty streets.
