- 作品解説: 裏面等に題名が付されておらず、仮に「風景」としたが、太鼓状の橋やゴンドラらしき舟が描かれていることから、ヴェネツィアではないかと思われる。空は赤く焼け、それが水面にも映っているドラマチックな情景である。深くえぐられ、盛り上げられた絵の具の凹凸が光の震えとともに、この世のものとは思えない幻想的な空間を生み出している。Description: The work is not titled on the reverse, so I have chosen "Landscape," but it may be Venice, as it depicts a drum-shaped bridge and a boat with what appears to be a gondola. The sky is burnt red, and this is reflected on the surface of the water in this dramatic scene. The deeply gouged and raised unevenness of the paint, together with the trembling of the light, creates a fantastical space that seems out of this world.
