- 作品解説: 右に大きく曲がりながら下っていく坂道。色彩は全体に渋くて暗く、一部店舗らしき軒のオーニング・シェードなどに極彩色が使用されている。やはり、この作品でも、道の両脇の建物を描くのではなく、片方の建物だけをとり上げ、しかも建物上部や切れ目までを画面に収めていないために圧迫感が生じている。村上の特異な視点がこの作品でも味わうことができる。Description: A slope descending with a sharp turn to the right. The overall color palette is austere and dark, with the use of rich colors in the awnings and shades on some of the store-like eaves. As expected, the artist did not depict the buildings on either side of the street, but only one of them, and did not include the tops of the buildings or their breaks in the image, which creates a sense of oppression. Murakami's unique perspective can be seen in this work as well.
