- 作品解説: 手前は樹々が生い茂っているのであろうか。その向こう側に教会の尖塔が見える。全体に土のような渋い色調で、空もどんよりとして暗い。題名にもなっている教会がこの絵の主役であろうが、絵具をえぐって表現されているところが見る人の心を震わせる。Description: In the foreground, there may be a thick growth of trees. The steeple of a church can be seen on the other side. The overall color scheme is earthy and austere, and the sky is dark and gloomy.
